Tournaments

Holland BJJ Network (HBN) offers a variety of BJJ and Grappling tournaments.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Grappling Tournaments

The two most famous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu  tournaments are the Amsterdam Open and the Holland Gi Challenge which each year draw a large amount of international BJJ competitors from Europe and beyond. These are the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu Jitsu events organized every year in Amsterdam, with the Amsterdam Open in October and the Holland Gi Challenge in February.

To also provide a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament for the beginners and inexperienced BJJ competitors, HBN created White Belts Only.  A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament only for white belts, where competitors fight all competitors in their bracket to ensure several matches.  A great way to gain a lot of fighting experience.

The grappling competition scene is boosting up with HBN’s grappling circuit where BJJ and grappling competitors meet. HBN organizes grappling tournaments (GT’s) in the three major cities in Holland; Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Den Haag.  At these GT’s grapplers fight all their opponents within their brackets, thereby guaranteeing several matches. The Amsterdam GT is the international part of the circuit, with competitors coming from neighboring countries of Holland like Belgium, Germany and the UK. The Rotterdam and Den Haag GT are smaller, national level competitions with mostly Dutch grapplers, but  open for competitors from every country.
